Data Deletion Policy — TrustFusion

This policy explains how you can permanently remove data connected, processed, or cached through TrustFusion — whether you use the WordPress plugin, the embeddable widget (Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, custom HTML/PHP), or this site’s dashboard.

1. Self-Service Deletion (Recommended)

You maintain control over your data, and the steps differ slightly depending on how you use TrustFusion:

WordPress plugin users:

  • Disconnect a business: Dashboard → TrustFusion → My Businesses → Disconnect. This stops the business from displaying on your site and removes it from your active list. Already-synced reviews remain in your local WordPress database in case you reconnect later — to permanently remove them, use full uninstall below.
  • Complete cleanup on uninstall: Deleting the plugin prompts you to confirm whether to remove its local database tables. Confirming permanently drops all locally stored reviews and profile data; declining preserves it for a future reinstall.

Widget / non-WordPress users (Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, custom HTML):

  • Go to reviews.webcitylab.com/manage-your-reviews/, unlock with your license key, and click Remove next to any saved business to delete it from “My Businesses” — this also removes any hide/show history for that business’s reviews.
  • Removing the embed snippet from your site stops the widget from displaying reviews immediately; no cached copy remains on your own site since the widget renders live from this server rather than storing anything locally.

2. Manual Deletion Requests & Timelines

If you no longer have access to your license key, WordPress dashboard, or want us to remove data held on this server directly (an OAuth connection, saved businesses, or your license/account records):

  • Process: Email support@webcitylab.com from the administrative email address associated with your site or purchase, with the subject line “TrustFusion — Data Deletion Request.”
  • Response window: We will acknowledge your request within two (2) business days.
  • Completion window: Associated tokens, saved businesses, hidden-review records, and support-cached metadata will be permanently deleted within seven (7) business days.

3. Revoking Access Directly via Google

You can cut off TrustFusion’s access at the source at any time, independent of anything on this site or in your WordPress dashboard:

  • If you used the OAuth connection: Go to your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access, select TrustFusion, and click Remove Access. This immediately invalidates all active tokens and prevents further API calls. This is currently the only way to fully revoke an OAuth-connected token — disconnecting a business inside WordPress does not do this on its own.
  • If you used the Manager-invite method: Go to your Google Business Profile → People and access, find our account, and remove it. This immediately stops that business from being reachable through TrustFusion.

4. Payment and Billing Data

Purchases are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record (see Terms of Service, Section 4). We do not hold your payment card details. Deletion of billing records, invoices, or payment method data is subject to Paddle’s own data retention and deletion process — contact Paddle directly for those records, or email support@webcitylab.com and we will assist in forwarding your request.

5. Backups, Diagnostics, and Log Retention

  • System backups: Residual operational data may persist in our secure server backups for a limited retention period (maximum 30 days) solely for disaster recovery, and is automatically overwritten on a rolling basis.
  • Sync logs: Short-term operational status and timestamps (WordPress plugin: wp_trustfusion_sync_log) are not personal data and can be emptied via your database manager at any time.

6. Scope of Stored Data

TrustFusion processes business profile metadata and review content (public, or accessed via a connection you authorized), plus the account/license data described in our Privacy Policy (license key, purchase email, site domain). We never collect, process, store, or transmit Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or other unrelated Google account data.
